Forward Search
To find out who knows a foaf:Person according to their FOAF presence enter their URI, email address, mbox sha1sum, homepage or blog URL above and click 'Go'.
How can I use it?
Entering a unique identifier for a foaf:Person (i.e. email address, mbox sha1sum, homepage, weblog, or a FOAF URI) will return FOAF RDF listing foaf:Persons which the identifier claims to know.
An example called would look like so:
http://foaf.qdos.com/forward?path=http://plugin.org.uk/&ifp
Developer Resource
The endpoint can take the following arguments: path and ifp.
- path
path must be one of foaf's unique identifiers. If the path arguement is used by itself, the query presented should be the URI of the foaf:Person you wish to perform the friend search on. For example, you may wish to see a list of who claims to know Tim Berners-Lee.
- ifp
When the path arguement is used in conjunction with the ifp parameter, path can be any of the following FOAF Inverse Functional Properties (IFPs) foaf:mbox, foaf:mbox_sha1sum, foaf:homepage or foaf:weblog. This allows for friend searches to be made when a foaf:Person's URI is not known. For example, if you would like to list who Steve Harris claims to know, but you only know the URL of his homepage you could make this call: http://foaf.qdos.com/forward?path=http%3A%2F%2Fplugin.org.uk%2F&ifp=
